Data such as sand resource areas, lease areas, dredge areas, avoidance areas, and beach placement areas are derived from BOEM MMP lease agreements, supporting studies, project completion reports and cooperative agreements. This dataset is a collection of previous and current data. The layers and corresponding attribute tables will be updated as leases are added or renewed and as new study data becomes available. As time permits, further additions will be made to include data from pre-existing research studies. Area covered: U.S. OCS (primarily 3nm to 12nm offshore).",
